Rescue Me Dog Training

Dara Wittenberg, founder of Rescue Me Dog Training, got into the dog training field so she could help homeless dogs.  She realized she could use her talents to train dogs in the shelter system so they would have a better chance of adoption. She’s been successful at that by working with a local shelter’s playgroups, working with the behavior team to train the dogs, as well as helping the team to test each dog’s “canineality”  (how well they get along with other dogs). She was awarded “Behavior Team Volunteer” of the Year, 2016 at Peggy Adams Animal Rescue where she volunteers 6-10 hours a week. She also works closely with another nearby animal rescue ensuring their adoptable dogs are ready for placement and continually works with the new dog parents after the adoption is finalized. In addition to becoming a certified dog trainer, Dara has been a multi-sport coach for several years (you may know here as her alter-ego, TriCoachDara), working with both new and seasoned athletes who have big athletic goals. Dara has a knack for knowing what her clients need (both human and canine) and makes sure goals are met with long-term success. Dara is an Animal Behavior College Certified Dog Trainer who helps clients with basic obedience skills, house training techniques, quirky behavior challenges, and everything in between. She is eager to restore peace in your home and have some fun while doing it.
